Tan Viet Noodle House, Cabramatta

I remember the last time I had Crispy Noodle Chicken from this place, it was quite a while ago. My dad came home with take away, I never liked it at all. (What an unappreciative rat, I know.)

I went down here for brunch the other day. I wasn't too keen on going down here but my mate was up for it so I was like why not.....

We had a cute little seat

Fish sauce

Crispy skin chicken, looks pretty good actually...

The set up

My longan and lotus seed drink, yum!

Tossed over some sprouts and a chicken (and after instagramming for 5 minutes), time to eat!

They had some sort of sauce going on at the bottom too

Noodles, lettuce, sprouts and chicken dipped in dish sauce - I'M READY FOR YA

The chicken was incredible.. just wow. Perfect amount of crunchiness and cooked just right. I never usually like eating chicken at places outside of my home because it's always way too dried out but this was just right!

I've been so biased over these years, absolutely avoiding walking into the doors of this restaurant.... The food was pretty damn good! Of course I'd come down here again, chicken cooked perfectly to how I want it, rare to find!

Breadtop: Chicken Puff, Cabramatta

Every single time I walk into Breadtop, I always end up getting the same things. Either a twin sausage bun or a naan bread with onion and cheese.

This time I thought, No! I will get something new! I was so close to end up getting a naan bread... heh heh

I settled for a Chicken Puff

Ooooo u fancy

It was basically a bun with a sheet of pastry over it
 Peeling em layers

Sooo soft!!!!!

I love the colour at the bottom, yum!

Finally got to the middle, to the chicken bit... It so did not match the bun, all those flavours... Chicken with some sort of creamy mushroom mayo stuff

I'm done.

It was good. I didn't like the inside, the bun was delicious! Kay bye, until the next time I try something else from breadtop guiiise!

Crust Gourmet Pizza Bar, Fairfield Heights

I've wanted to try Crust for a while. Receiving one of em magnetic menus in the mailbox, now I had to go.

Oh, hay.

I knew what I wanted straight away, someone had said that Peri Peri Chicken on their menu was their fave, so I had to try and see for myself.

Again, I'm not much of a chicken fan. The only type of chicken I like is roasted or incredibly juicy, oozing with flavour.

10 minutes of chitter chatter and our pizza was done
'You're not meant to take a picture of the box......' Whateva, I do what I want!

 Lookin fresh

 Peri-Peri Chicken Pizza ($21)
Marinated chicken breast fillets, shallots, roasted capsicum, caramalised onions & bocconcini on a tomato base, topped with peri-peri sauce

The roasted capsicums were my favourite part! I've never tried anything like it. It added the best flavour. Everything else was average and flavourless to me, my tastebuds are pretty hard to please. But my friend had thought otherwise. I'd want to come back again to try their garlic prawn pizzas!

Dr. Candy, Darling Harbour

Yeah I'm just blogging about anything now ain't I?
Food is food kay.

I've always pranced by these little stalls, and only ever purchased goods off this place once.
It's a candy wonderland, really! All these sweets reminise my tastebuds of the good ol' days in Canada.

Rows and rows of candy available for you to make use of the available scooper or tongs to pop into your little bag

Pink cutie bags

 Hi doc!

Where to start!

These babies are sold at $3.59/100g, pretty damn pricey. (Usually $3 for a bag of 250g lollies)

Picking and choosing all the tasty ones...

Raspberry belts!

I got me some raspberries,  blueberry strips, kisses, fantasy bars, gummy worms, coca colas, peaches and yogurt bar thingooos.

Skipped away kinda content, a few lollies and a mouth of starting up cavities for $3.30

 Going upstairs. Everyone wants candy.

I waited til' we got into the car before I smashed the whole thing

 Oh hai

 Watermuuulen

And my ultimate (ULTIMATE) favourite,,,,,,
Raspberry gummies..... A light even had to shine on it at this moment!!!

 Yogurt and fantasy bars

Instababy

15 pieces of stale kinda not as nice as you'd think, gummies for $3.30.

I will (probably) not buy you again.
I bet my sister in Canada must think I'm crazy buying candy at these prices. Aw I miss Canada foodlings....

Dragon Boat, Darling Harbour

My friend and I had plans to attend the Explore Europe expo down at the convention centre. We got to the city and were starving! Chowing on our easyway and boost, we searched around harbourside for a place to eat.

We were particularly looking for lunch specials - I never eat out for lunch! So I had to snatch something up...

We had a closer look at Dragon Boat's menu and proceeded inside.

 The decor suited the place

The tables are fancy, we decided to sit outside.

Daaaammmmn, you're doing well Dragon Boat. Best table.
 *Sigh, life.

Seated, we browsed through the menu

Well helllllloooo specials menu!
They had three 'banquets' to choose from, all at different prices.

I ordered from banquet B ($12.30), and my friend, from banquet A ($9.80). Each banquet had a choice of rice/fried rice and a list of dishes. The difference between mine and hers was that we had a different list of dishes to choose from and that I got an entree dish.

Received our complimentary homemade ice lemon tea. It was pretty good stuff but we were too caught up in our Boost and Easyway

 Yo

We both choose fried rice- this was nice!

Our servings for everything were incredibly small...
My pork spare ribs with peking sauce

My friend's sweet sour pork (this was her first time trying it, golly...)

Both our dishes tasted as though they had the same sauce...

Straight out of the freezer eh, you took your sweet time getting here
Two hargows? I was already pretty filled up but c'mon, you can do better than that.

We had a nice time chilling, taking our time nomming everything up.

The portions were pretty small but we were stuffed as we took nearly an hour to eat haha.

Dragon boat's banquet specials were alright. You get what you pay for. Especially for a place right at harbourside. Dammmn! The portions were pretty small and their food simply reminded me of food court food... Where you're given a plate and you go along the line scooping up a bit of goods from each section.... I think I would have done better off there.
